James Melvin Lentz

James M. Lentz passed away in St. Francis Hospital on May 16, 2012 at the age of 78. Jim was born in Indianapolis and was the son of the late James A. and Juanita(Hancock)Lentz.Jim was a member of the First Christian Church in Beech Grove, Beech Grove Senior Citizens, an Eagle Scout and was an avid gardener. He worked as a mechanical engineer for General Devices before retiring in 1995.Jim is survived by his loving wife Loretta Inman Lentz, son; James Timothy(Kim) Lentz, daughter; Helen Suzanne(Harry) Malecki, step daughters; Kay(James)Parks, and Karen L. Morris, 2 grandchildren and 6 step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife Barbara Wheeler.

Jim will be dearly missed by his family and his faithful dog “Lucky”.Visitation will be held on Monday, May 21, 2012 from 4- 8 pm in Little and Sons Funeral Home Beech Grove Chapel. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at 10:30 with visitation from 9:30 until time of service in the First Christian Church of Beech Grove. Burial in Washington Park East Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church of Beech Grove.
