James M. Greer

James M. Greer 87, passed away peacefully Oct. 5, 2011 in Indianapolis. He was born in Waynesburg, Kentucky to the late Marion and Frankie Greer. James was a millwright for General Motors for 38 years; an Army veteran; a member of Beech Grove Masonic Lodge # 694; Eastern Star # 465; a Bethel Grandpa for Jobs Daughters # 32 and a lifelong member of Southwood Baptist Church. He is survived by his children Brenda (Gary) Snell, Rodney (Teresa) Greer, and Donna (Kevin) Piland; grandchildren Ashley, Lindsay, Aaron, Jessica, Chelsea and Franky; 3 great-grandchildren; a brother Sherman Greer and a sister Darlene Brunson. James was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Greer; 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Visitation will be held Sunday Oct. 9th from 3:00-8:00 PM at Little and Sons Funeral Home, Beech Grove Chapel. Funeral Services will be held Monday Oct. 10th at 1:00 PM in the Funeral Home. Burial Forest Lawn Cemetery.
