51, of Indianapolis, passed away on August 12, 2017. Helen worked at the America Legion Headquarters for many years and enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed by her children, Michael (Tiffany) Mathis and Renè Mathis; her father, Everett Mathis; her grandson, Zavier Mathis; and her siblings, Everett Mathis Jr., Sandra Mathis, Isaac Mathis, and Mary Mathis. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 12pm until the time of service at 2pm at Little and Sons Beech Grove. Donations may be made in Helen’s name to the American Lung Association.
