Evelyn Francis Smith

Evelyn F. Smith 83 was born September 22, 1938 In Prattsville Arkansas and died July 16, 2022. Evelyn was a loving wife and mother and lived in Indiana for 59 years. A housewife and stay at home mom, she worked at Southern Plaza Laundry and Tan for over a decade. She was a very loving, giving and generous woman. She leaves behind 2 daughters, Despine Norwood (Jeff Robinson) from Arkansas, Michelle Smith of Indianapolis, 2 sons Max (Courtney) Smith from Indianapolis, Mike Smith from Indianapolis, 3 brothers, Terry Buie of Arkansas, Phil Buie of Oregon and Tony Buie of Arkansas. 10 grandchildren, 17 great- grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Virgil M. Smith Jr. Parents Curtis and Katherine Buie, her biological mother Effie E. (Johnson) Buie, sisters Treva House and Shelly Arivette, granddaughter Shana Smith, and daughter – in-law Renee Hammersley Smith. A visitation for Evelyn will be held Thursday, July 21, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 1301 Main St, Beech Grove, Indiana 46107. Following the visitation there will be a graveside service at 2:30 PM at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, 910 N Morgantown Rd,, Greenwood, IN.
