Caleb Emery Barger, age 19, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2022. Caleb was born March 10, 2003 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Billie (McClure) Barger and Christopher Barger. He was known to his family as Bubba and his friends, including the other Caleb's, as Belac. Caleb attended St. John Lutheran School and was a 2021 graduate of Lutheran High School. Caleb was excited to go to Purdue with his friends and live with his roommates, Eli Kirkpatrick, Logan Davis, and Cole Bryant. At Purdue he explored psychology but learned that he really wanted to pursue being a chef. His passion for cooking for others and how much he enjoyed working with the team at Fujiyama were always noticeable. Caleb was a movie fan, especially Marvel and Star Wars series, anime fan, animal lover, and preferred 80's music. His favorite song was Africa and his favorite color was pink. He was also a big time gamer and loved to play Mario Kart and Celeste.
Caleb is survived by his parents, Billie (McClure) Barger and Christopher Barger; sister, Brooklyn Barger; grandparents, Rosetta and John Barger, Wanda and Dave Curry, and David and Debra McClure; best friend, Luke Snow; aunts and uncles, Chrissy and Jason Oldham, Autumn and Darrell Barger, Matthew Barger, Dorothy and Aaron Klue, Beth and James Hensley, and Jodi and David R. Curry; cousins, Jacob Oldham (Anna), Cody Oldham, Nevaeh Barger, Drew Hensley (Megan), Jacob Murphy (Courtney), Ava Klue, Sam Hensley, and baby cousin, Oliver Oldham.
Visitation for Caleb will be Monday, September 12, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 1301 Main St, Beech Grove, Indiana 46107 and Tuesday, September 13, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. John Lutheran Church, 6630 Southeastern Ave, Indianapolis, Indiana 46203. His Funeral Service will be Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. John Lutheran Church, 6630 Southeastern Ave, Indianapolis, Indiana 46203 with burial to follow in New Palestine Cemetery, New Palestine, Indiana.
