William Leroy Brown Sr.

Leroy was a coalminer with over 30 years of service. He was a proud member of the UMWA. Leroy was a long time card carrying member of the NRA. He also enjoyed bowling.

In addition to his parents, Leroy is preceded in death by his loving wife, Anise Brown; 2 brothers, Willie Brown and Benjamin Brown; 1 sister, Sandra Dillon.

Those left to cherish his memory include his 2 children, Lee Brown and wife, Carol of Coal City, Stephanie Pack of Daniels; 4 grandchildren, Courtney Ward, Nena Brown, Levi Pack, Bella Pack; 1 great-grandson, Abel Ward; 2 brothers, Michael Brown, John Brown; 1 sister, Patricia Brown.

Services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley. Burial will follow at Lilly-Crews Cemetery.

Friends may gather with the family Tuesday from 11am – 1 PM at the funeral home.
