Walter Benjamin Ballard, 58, of Beckley, WV, passed away on January 1, 2018. Born March 15, 1959 in Grandview, WV, he was the son of the late Kermit and Alice Arthur Ballard. Mr. Ballard was a mechanic and loved to tinker with cars. He was employed by Glens Towing as a tow truck driver. In addition to his parents Mr. Ballard is preceded in death by his son, Brandon Ballard. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of over 27 years, Lavina Ballard; son, Benjamin Walter Ballard; daughters, Pamela Ballard, Melissa Shepard and Virginia Arnold; brother, Roger Ballard; sister, Anna Horner, Iris Whitlock, Eva Ballard, Karen Ballard and Mary Lilly; three grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. No services are scheduled at this time. In lieu of flowers the family will accept monetary donation.
