Toni R. Spencer

Born on January 19, 1948 in Mead, WV, she was the daughter of the late Roy Basil Garretson and Ada Mae Hornsby Garretson.

Mrs. Spencer served the Lord at Grace and Truth Ministries at Coal City, WV as the church secretary. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved attending church and serving her Lord.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Garretson.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her husband of nearly 55 years, Pastor William J. “Bill” Spencer; three children, Tiffanie White and husband Rev. Barry White of Pemberton, Brett Spencer and wife Heather of Coal City, and Brent Spencer of Baltimore, MD, A sister, Shelma Hart and husband Carl of Yorktown, VA; three brothers, Robert Garretson of Tennessee, Billy Garretson and wife Vivian of Beckley, and Roy Basil Garretson Jr. of Alderson. Seven grandchildren, Brianna Hubbard and husband Trent, Adam White and wife Abby, Courtney Wine and husband Justin, Luke Spencer, Liam Spencer, Gideon Spencer, and Truett Spencer; two great grandchildren Cooper Hubbard and Esther Hubbard. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Grace and Truth Ministries at Coal City, WV at 1 PM on Friday, December 29, 2023 with Rev. Jim Bragg and Rev. Arlen England officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 6 PM until 9 PM on Thursday at the church.

Pallbearers will be Dewayne Diehl, Roger Lilly, Phillip Snodgrass, Jarrod West, Darrell England, and Eric Bragg.
