Beckley WV Lawrence “Teddy” Theodore Holliday Lawrence “Teddy” Theodore Holliday 87, of Beckley walked through the gates of pearl, on Sunday December 4, 2016, following a short illness. Born January 22, 1929 in Caldwell, he was the son of the late Cary and Reva Bennett Holliday. Teddy was a mechanic. He loved mechanic work; he would help anyone who needed help. He was a longtime member of Bradley Freewill Baptist Church, where he served as a trustee; he also drove the church bus for many years. He enjoyed being with this family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by, his son James Theodore Holliday, an infant granddaughter April Dawn McNeely, and his 3 sisters Margaret, Thelma, and Wilma. Those left to cherish their memory include his loving wife of 68 years Hester Holliday, his four daughters Donna McDaniel and her husband Sam, Teddi Ann McNeely and her husband Eddie, Patty Peters and husband Wayne, Lisa Dawson and her husband Steve; his brother Sherman Holliday and his wife Kay, his sister Toni Storey and her husband Lowell; 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and one on the way, and a very dear friend whom he loved as a son Mike Mason. . Services for Teddy will be Wednesday December 7th 2016 at 1:00pm in the chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Legg officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Beckley WV. Friends may gather with the family from 11:00am until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
