Susie Kidwell

She was born in Dorothy, WV on February 4, 1934 to the late Van Buren and Alberta Ward Shepherd. Ms. Kidwell was also preceded in death by one son Michael Eugene Kidwell and one sister Lena B. Shepherd Kestner.

Susie was of the Christian faith and she also enjoyed hobbies such as listening to gospel music, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends.

She is survived by one son Paul David Kidwell of Racine, MN, daughters; Blondena Hendrick of Arnett, WV, Sheila Webb of Beckley, WV, Teresa Johnson of NC, brothers; Van B. Shepherd Jr, Albert R. Shepherd, Rodger D. Shepherd, and James T. Shepherd, five sisters; Lula Taylor, Doranna Batts, Reba J. Plotts, Sandra K. Urban, Sharon L. Angle, 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 4 great- great grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends that will miss her dearly.

Funeral Service will be held at Blue Ridge Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at 2:00PM with Pastor Larry Kinder officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be from 12:00PM until service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
