Malinda Sue Bennett Todd went home to be with Jesus on April 15, 2023 surrounded by family. She was born Dec. 17, 1946 to Pauline Vest and Roscoe Bennett. She was a member of Stanaford Missionary Baptist and the Bethlehem Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Sue retired as a cook from the Raleigh County Board of Education after 27 years, she loved being with her family, camping, travelling to Montana, embroidery and making gravy for Sunday morning hunting tales. Her special achievements are her children, grandkids, and great grandkids. She was known for her famous cornbread, fort building skills, and the Science Fair Blue Ribbons she helped many earn.
She will be reunited with her husband of 47 years Dickie Todd, infant daughter; Rebekah, father; Roscoe Bennett, and daddy; Otis Vest.
Those left to cherish her memory include her mother; Pauline Vest, daughter; Sara Coccoli and husband (her favorite son-in-law) Bruce, sons; Stephen Todd and companion Shelia Ayers, Shad Todd and wife Stephanie, daughter; Kaedence Jenkins, 2 sisters, 1 brother, 7 grandkids, 11 great grandkids, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Her services will be held at Stanaford Missionary Baptist on Friday April 21, 2023 at 1 PM with Pastor George Wood officiating. The family will begin receiving visitors at 11 AM. She will be laid to rest following the services at Crews Cemetery in Nimitz, WV. In lieu of flowers please make any donations to Bowers Hospice House in her name.
