It is with shattered hearts and unimaginable sorrow that we announced the sudden and unexpected passing of our beloved Stacie Bragg Bolen a devoted mother cherished wife, loving daughter, sister, aunt and dear friend to so many. She left us far too soon in the prime of her life.
Stacie’s vibrant spirit, boundless love, and unwavering dedication to her family and community touched everyone she met. Her laughter could light up a room and her kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She lived with passion, grace, and heart--giving endlessly of herself to those she loved.
She leaves behind a legacy of strength, love, and compassion. Our lives will never be the same without her, and the ache of her absence is immeasurable.
Stacie was very involved with her kids schools and in the community. She was a part of the Shady Spring Youth Football Athletics, Shady Spring Little League, the Daniels Elementary PTO, a team parent for every sport her kids played. Stacie was employed with the Girl Scouts for 15 years. She loved to travel, especially to the beach, spend time with her family and friends and watch her babies play sports. To know her, was to love her. She truly was a selfless woman who gave so much to everyone she came in contact with.
Stacie was born April 3, 1978 to her parents, Tommy Bragg and Valinda Newman.
Stacie is preceded in death by grandparents, Richard and Loretta Lafferty, Sharon Johnson, Joe and Mabel Bragg and sister, Leslea Ann Sweeney.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 20 years, Joseph James daughter, Delanie Jo Bolen (Bryan), sons, Brodie and Landrie James; grandchildren, Ryden and Ryla; mother, Valinda Newman; father, Tommy Bragg (Lee Ann); sisters, Linzie Farmer (Tyler), Sabrina Braddock (Jeremy), Savannah Newman, Sarah Meade, nephew, Ezra Newman as well as numerous nieces, nephews and tons of friends and colleagues.
A Gathering to Celebrate Stacie’s Life will be held Friday April 11, 2025 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley, West Virginia.
A Service to reflect and remember Stacie will begin at 7:00PM.
