Roger Marvin Tilley, 65, of Beckley, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. Born December 16, 1950 in Slab Fork. He was the son of the late James Tilley and Edna Champlin Tilley. Roger attended Beckley Church of God and was a member of Mabscott VFW. He was an Army veteran who served in Vietnam. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Fay Tilley; brothers, Larry Tilley and Donald Tilley. Those left to cherish his memory includes his wife Susan Sweeney Tilley; brother, Jonny Tilley and wife Linda of NC; sister, Linda Meadows and husband Frank of Midway and a host of nieces and nephews. Friends may gather with the family Monday, June 20, 2016 from 1-2pm at Blue Ridge Funeral Home. A Graveside Services with Military Honors will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with Pastor Danny Bennette, Pastor Jim Farsworth and Pastor Sexton officiating.
