Born on September 25 1934 in Beckley, he was the son of the late Opie and Ethel Jones.
Mr. Jones was a member of the First Baptist Church of Shady Spring. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of Fraternal Order of Police.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughters, Frances Treadway and Olivia Jones; brother, Richard Jones; sister, Betty Okes; and grandson, Patrick Treadway.
Left to cherish his memory are Nelva Jones his loving wife of 58 years; daughter, Lori (Jeff) Radford; Grandchildren, Philip Treadway, Joshua Radford; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home with Delvin Elwell officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1 pm to 2 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
