He loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all of his heart and lived his life to glorify Him.
He was a 1958 graduate of Mullens High School and earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnical Institute in 1962. He received Specialization in Management Systems Analysis from the University of Southern California. During his 58-year professional career, he worked for WV Engineering, Sement-Solvay Allied Chemical, the US Mining Safety and Health Administration, Phillips Machine Service, Industrial Electric, Inc. Hughes Supply Company, and was currently employed with C2G Engineering. He always said he would retire when the Lord retired him.
Ralph was a faithful member of Fellowship Bible Church (formerly Calloway Heights Community Church) for 53 years. There, he served as Sunday School teacher, AWANA leader, song leader, deacon and elder.
He served on the local committee of Child Evangelism Fellowship for several years and on the Board of Directors of Appalachian Bible College for more than 20 years.
He loved his wife and children well.
Those who are left behind to cherish his memory are: his wife of almost 55 years, Carolyn Lee Rinehart; his daughters and sons-in-law, Carl and Ruthie Dingus, Chris and Nita Watkins, and Karl and Sandy Hofheinz. His 13 grandchildren: Josh (April) Watkins, Carolyn (Adam) Geiger, Andrew (Mary Hannah) Watkins, Caleb (Tiffany) Dingus, Josiah (Rachel) Hofheinz, Colin Dingus, Hannah Hofheinz, Carlton Dingus, Elijah Hofheinz, Bethany Watkins, Sarah Hofheinz, Christopher Dingus, and Stephen Watkins. Two great- grandchildren, Wylee and Neland Watkins. His siblings: John (Joette) Rinehart, Sheila (Gene) Latta, Milburn (Carolyn) Rinehart, Lula (Richard) Reynolds, Marie (Ernie) Terry, David (Dianna) Rinehart and Nancy Rinehart, as well as his brothers and sisters-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Friends may gather with the family Wednesday, May 19, 2021 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Daniels Bible Church and from 10:00AM until 11:30AM Thursday, May 20, 2021 at the church.
Service to celebrate the life of Ralph Lee Rinehart will be held 12:00PM Thursday, May 20, 2021 with Rev. Carl Dingus officiating. Private family graveside rites will follow. Facebook livestream of the service can be found by visiting Blue Ridge Funeral Home's Facebook page.
