Ora Layfon Lilly

Ora Layfon Lilly, 75, of Beaver, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Bowers Hospice House following a long illness.

Born August 13, 1945 in Hinton, WV; he was a son of the late Ora Rovey Lilly and the late Stella Matherly Lilly.

Ora served his country proudly in the National Guard; he attended Grandview Christian Church, he loved being outdoors, gardening, fishing, taking care of his lawn, and spending time with his family. He retired from Beckley Water Company as a Supervisor following 44 years of dedicated service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Lilly.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 49 years, Kellene Lilly; two daughters, Krista Lilly of Beaver and Kara Marsh and husband, Alan of Beaver; three grandchildren, Darienne Lilly and Ethan Marsh and Jocelyn Marsh; a brother, Steve “Pete” Lilly and wife, Sharon of Hartselle, Alabama; a sister, Brenda Haney of Clayton, NC; extended family and friends.

Services to celebrate the life of Ora Layfon Lilly will be held 2:00PM Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley with Pastor Jordan Legg officiating.

Friends may gather with the family from 1:00PM until time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.

In keeping with the mandate ordered by the Governor of WV, facial coverings must be worn while inside and social distancing must be maintained.

The family would like to extend a "special thank you" to the staff at the Carl Larson Cancer Center for their care and compassion.
