Nira Joyce Moye, 83, of Sophia passed away on April 20, 2017. Born October 22, 1933, in Sophia, she was the daughter of the late John E. and Josie Mae Coleman Robertson. She was a member of Sophia Freewill Baptist Church and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Nira was a devoted wife and mother. Prior to becoming a full time wife and mother she worked at Slab Fork Coal Company Store. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Carlile Moye; three brothers, Jean, Paul and Tommy Robertson; two sisters, Frances Dangerfield and Louise Johnson. She is survived by her son, Carlile Moye of Sophia and several loving nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 12- 2pm on Monday, April 24, 2017 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley. Services will be held at 2pm on Monday, April 24, 2017 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home with Pastor Don Kelly officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum.
