Blue Ridge Funeral Home Beckley, WV Michelle Renae Prater Beckley- Michelle Renae Prater passed away on August 10th, 2015 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV. Born August 22nd, 1960 in Richwood, WV; she is the daughter of Robert “Allen” Prater and the late Judith Carol Cummings Prater. In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her aunt Janet Gallagher. She is survived by her loving father Robert “Allen” Prater; sister Melinda Hinkle and spouse Walter; cousin Vicky Rhodes and family. Michelle was a beloved DJ for Southern Communications Corporation and will be greatly missed by her family and her radio family. A Memorial Service will be held for Michelle at Blue Ridge Funeral Home on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at 2:00pm with John Foster officiating. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation to Bowers Hospice House 454 Cranberry Drive Beckley, in honor of Michelle.
