Michael Mike Wayne Worley

Michael Wayne Worley, 59, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2015. Mike was born in Maben, WV on January 18, 1956 to the late Sheffey Andrew and Margaret Hazel (Hurst) Worley. He enjoyed spending his time playing with his grandsons, listening to his son preach, and listening to his daughter-in-law sing. Mike attended Cornerstone Freewill Baptist Church where he was a proud member of the IronMen Ministry. In addition to his parents, Mike is preceded in death by his brother, Gordon Worley. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, with whom he recently celebrated 35 years of marriage, Cynthia (King) Worley; son, Michael Shaun Worley and his wife, Brittany (Asbury) Worley; grandsons, Drake and Joel Worley; and brother, Paul Worley. Funeral services for Mike will be held at Blue Ridge Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at 12 noon. The Rev. Kelly Bowman will be officiating the services with music and vocals being performed by Mr. Jeff Buckland. Friends may gather with the family on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 from 6pm – 8pm at the funeral home. Interment in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens will immediately follow the services on Wednesday with special friends of Mike’s serving as pallbearers. Mike’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the many special friends that visited and gave their love and support during this difficult time.
