Mary Ellen (Tyree) Williams

Mary Ellen Tyree Williams, 89, of Beckley, WV went to be with the Lord on June 24, 2022 in Princeton, WV. Mary was born August 7, 1932 in Maple Fork, WV to the late Dorsey A. Tyree and Lilly Pearl Williams Tyree.

Mary attended Cranberry Baptist Church and she was very active for many years in the Raleigh County Women’s Democrat Club and other social and physical activities. Mary was a 1951 graduate of WWHS and retired from the Raleigh County Board of Education where she worked in the WWHS school cafeteria and transportation aide on the Special Education bus. She was avid fan of the WWHS Flying Eagles and WVU Mountaineers. She enjoyed cooking, classic cars, racing, helping others, and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, her loving husband of 70 years, Bobby G. Williams; and sisters, Loe and Zoey, precedes her in death.

Those left to cherish her memory includes her daughter, Sharon Williams and husband Sergio of Kingsport, TN; and stepson, Tom Williams of Beaver, WV.

Graveside services will be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at 1:00pm.
