Marie Antoinette Perkins

She was born in Beckley, WV on September 18, 1978 to David and Pamela (Lilly) Holmes.

She was a loving, caring mother. She loved having family and friends around her and had the sweetest personality.

It would be wrong to say Marie lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. She was determined to live and no matter how sick she was Marie stayed strong and through her we know what resilience and perseverance are, there was no quit for Marie. Throughout her illness she never lost hope or her strong faith in God and stayed strong for her family.

Marie had a passion for football and was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan for over twenty years. Nothing was more important to Marie than family but on Sunday night game nights you might not get your calls answered and you definitely didn't get in front of her tv without her letting you know it. She will be sadly missed by many.

Marie was preceded in death by her father, David T Holmes in 1989, grandparents, William and Helen Lilly and Robert and Margaret Holmes.

Marie is survived by her spouse Jami Perkins, mother Pamela Diane Holmes, son, Corey David Holmes, daughters, Courtney Diane Holmes and Jaimini (Pearl) Elizabeth Perkins, brother, David Robert Holmes, sister, Christina Dawn Lilly, her favorite uncle Kenny and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Also mourning her passing are her closest and dearest friends, Desiree and Myra.

A special thanks to the doctors and nurses that tried their best to heal Marie and to Desiree for all her help.

A viewing will take place from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, May 20th at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley. Services will be Friday, May 21, at 1 p.m. at Blue Ridge Funeral Home.
