Born March 30, 1922 in Glen White, WV; she was a daughter of the late Clarence E. Lee and the late Mildred Henson Lee.
Margaret was a member of the Mabscott Baptist Church, she was active in Sunday school and was a member of the choir until her health did not permit her to.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harrison (Harry) Milam, who passed in 1985, a daughter, Marsha Ann Shannon; and four sisters, Ruth Phillips, Geneva Malbrough, Gertrude Gustafson, and Betty Price.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving children, Edward Lee and wife, Mona Milam of Cross Lanes, Terry L. and wife, Deanna of Knightdale, NC; Gail Denise and husband, Darvin Voss of Lexington, VA; a son-in-law, Bill Shannon of Myrtle Beach, SC; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; special friends, Curtis Wall and Mary Lee Walker.
The services to celebrate the life of Margaret E. Milam will be private. Pastor Doug Holley will be officiating. Following the services, she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Harry at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.
Those attending the services are asked to please wear facial coverings and practice social distancing.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in her honor to the Raleigh County Humane Society, 325 Gray Flats Road, Beckley WV 25801.
