BLUE RIDGE FUNERAL HOME BECKLEY Margaret “Margo” Dunbar Lola Margaret Dunbar, age 72, of Beckley, WV, Went home to be with the Lord on December 19, 2014. . Margaret was born April 30, 1942 in Clear Creek to the late Oscar and Gladys Thompson. Margaret was a devout member of The Family Worship Center. She enjoyed volunteering with Fishes and Loaves, spending time with family, and vacationing at the beach. She was also a member of The Mountaineer Square Dancers. She taught for several schools in Raleigh County throughout her career, and she was the head of the English Department at Independence High School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Victoria Thompson, Bunny Thompson, Charles Thompson, Layton Thompson, Donna Mullins, Kenneth Thompson, Raymond Thompson, and Jinx Thompson. Those left to cherish her memory include her sister Willa Toney; Brothers Glen Thompson, and Paul Thompson; daughters Angela Lowther and Casey Atkins; grandchildren Laura Lowe, Tony Lowther Jr., Timmy Lowther, James Meador, Glen Meador Jr., Destiny Westberry, and Madison Lowther; great grandchildren Noah Atkins, Noelle Grooms, Connor Atkins, Ava Williams, James Meador Jr., Caylee Lowe. Services to celebrate the life of Margaret will be held at 1:00PM Monday, December 22, 2014 at The Family Worship Center, Beckley with Pastor R. Stacy Dingess officiating. Following the services Margaret will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. Family and Friends will be serving as pallbearers. Friends may gather with the family from 12:00 PM until time of the service Monday at the church.
