Margaret Ruth Burnette

Margaret Ruth Burnette, age 89, of Land O’ Lakes, Florida and Beckley, passed away at her son’s home in Lutz, Florida Saturday, on January 3, 2015. She was born on April 29, 1925, the daughter of the late Howard and Blanche Hicks of Green Sulphur Springs, WV. Margaret was formerly employed by Doy Mobile Homes in Daniels, WV, as a Secretary/Bookkeeper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Anna Marie Burnette and her husband of 61 years, Dale P. Burnette. Those left to cherish her memory include her sister, Lena Mae Clemons of Ronceverte; her daughter, Gloria Jean King and husband, Troy of Jupiter, Florida; her son, Roger Dale Burnette and wife, Janice of Lutz, Florida; 5 grandchildren, Zachary Allen King, Emily Anne King, Jennifer Marie Burnette Bowen, Matthew Dale Burnette and Michael Lawrence Burnette; 2 great grandchildren, Alexandria Joan Bowen and Kinley Marie Burnette; also many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 2pm at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, 5251 Robert C. Byrd Drive, Beckley. Entombment will immediately follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 1pm-2pm prior to the services on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family wants to thank you for your sympathy and support.
