Mrs. Lorraine B. (Allen) Wiseman

Lorraine B. Allen Wiseman, 85, of Winston-Salem, NC, formerly of Oceana, WV, gained her Heavenly reward to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 20, 2022, following a battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born May 13, 1937, to the late Oliver and Gay Allen.

Lorraine was a devoted servant of Jesus Christ and a light to all that met her. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren more than anything in this world. There was nothing she loved more than spending time with her family. Lorraine also enjoyed serving at church in any capacity she could and especially enjoyed cooking for church dinners. She loved to listen to and read the Word of God. She fought the good fight; she finished the race; she kept the faith.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, William “Bill” Wiseman, son-in-law Glen Daymon Green, her daughter Debbie Wiseman Green, brother Emmett Allen and his wife Millie, brother Bill Allen, sister Bessie Johnson and her husband Herbert, and sister Ruth Martin.

Those left to treasure her memory include her daughter, Billie Jo Nobles, her husband Michael, and their daughter Hailey of Winston-Salem, NC, grandchildren Kevin Green, his wife Kristy, and their children Abbie Green, Caleb Arbogast, Madi Arbogast, and Cadee Green of Beckley, WV, and Darren Green, his wife Jennifer, and their son Greyson of Princeton, WV, and brother Bob Allen and his wife Festus of Pineville, WV. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and countless friends.

Services to celebrate Lorraine’s life will be held at Blue Ridge Funeral Home 1:00PM Thursday, December 29, 2022. Friends may gather beginning at 12:00PM. Lorraine will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens following the service. Officiating ministers will be her pastor, Rev. Robert Hutchens, and Rev. Phillip Bowles.
