Mrs. Lorene Gladys (Jones) Plumley was welcomed into Heaven on July 14, 2017. Born in Pear, WV on April 24, 1926 to Oscar and Daisy (Kincaid) Jones, Lorene was a lifelong resident of Raleigh County. In 1943, she married Joe Plumley, Jr. and they started a family that would grow to include four children, nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She will be remembered for her patience, her kindness, her love of God, her sense of humor, and her delicious homemade jelly. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two grandchildren: Gregory Plumley and Laura Waddell. Those left to carry on her memory are her children: Roger Plumley and wife, Peggy, of Crab Orchard, Harold Plumley and wife, Katherine, of Crab Orchard, Linda Waddell of Beckley, and Pamela McConnell of Nashville, Grandchildren: Beth Cassidy, Christopher Plumley, Brandon Smith, Andrea Sullivan, Megan Constantino, Sarah McConnell, and Evan McConnell, great-grandchildren: Jessica, Ciara, Grace, Ian, and Blake, and great-great grandchildren: Anna and Chance.
