Linda Mae Moore of Shady Spring, went home to be with the Lord on March 15th, 2023. She was born in Camp Creek, WV to the late Gilmer Hoke Ellison and Florence Martin on July 7th, 1938 and was of the Baptist Faith.
Linda loved her flower garden, cooking, canning, she was a music lover, a fun loving person who never had a dull moment, loved her family, and was a loving wife to her husband John Moore for 64 years. She leaves behind lots of great memories for her family to cherish.
In addition to her parents she will be reunited with her husband; John Moore, sisters; Nellie Wright, Francis Herndon, Lessie Maxey, Phyllis Polk, brothers; Roscoe Ellison, Gilmore Ellison Jr., Daniel Ellison, Douglas Ellison, Donzie Ellison, John Ellison, and Russell Ellison, daughter-in-law Cecile Moore and son-in-law Robert Duncan.
Those left to cherish her memories include daughters, Debbie Duncan-Fink and husband Paul Fink, Lisa Taylor and husband David Taylor, sons; Tommy Moore, Melvin Moore and wife Tracy Moore, brother, Abraham Ellison, sisters; Sudie Lilly, Betty Stovall, Rosalea Lilly, grandkids; Janelle Brogan, Megan Moore, Amanda Taylor Plumley, David Taylor Jr., Melinda Moore, Amber Moore, Robbie Duncan Jr., John Duncan, Jaylen Duncan, 14 great-grandkids, 1 great-great grandson, and many nieces and nephews.
Linda’s’ celebration of life will be held at Blue Ridge Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 22nd, 2023 at 1 PM with Pastor Harold Taylor officiating. Grandsons will be serving as pallbearers. The family will begin receiving visitors at 11 AM. Linda will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens following the service. Blue Ridge Funeral Home, 5251 Robert C. Byrd Drive of Beckley is honored to be serving the Moore family.
