LEONARD WRIGHT Leonard Wright, 82, of Beckley, passed away August 1, 2014 Born November 18, 1931 at Casar, North Carolina to the late Otis and Judy Chapman Wright. Mr. Wright was a truck driver for 52 years, he was a Mason, Shriner, and member of Scottish Rite, York Rite, and Knights Templar. He loved to fish and was a member of the Lillybrook Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Nellie Lowe Wright. Those left to cherish his memory include his son, James Albert Lee Wright and wife, Myra of Hampstead, NC; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; his sister, Minnie White of Casar, NC; and his beloved dog, Jasper. Services to celebrate the life of Leonard Wright will be held 1:00PM Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Black officiating. Masonic Lodge #95 of Beckley will be conducting Masonic Rites. Entombment will follow the services at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. Friends may gather with the family from 12:00PM until time of the service Thursday at the funeral home.
