He was born November 24, 1957 to Leon Stover and Nancy Jane Stover in Beckley, WV. Rocky spent over 20 years in the coal industry. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish. Rocky loved spending time with his family and friends, going to church, and of course going to Glen and Kathy’s store every morning.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and survived by his loving wife of 40 years Angel Stover, children, Shanit and companion Michael, Jessica and companion John , and Lil Rocky and companion Susan, grandchildren, Kendall, Kailey, and Connor, sisters, Pammy Jane and husband Jim Pandelios of Whitesville , Beth and husband Rick Beverlin of Seng Creek, Lisa and husband Duke Stewart of Whitesville, Sherry and husband Bill Goins of Beckley, and Betty and husband George Scott of Colcord , brothers, Josh Stover of Beckley and Ricky Stover of Ohio, many nieces and nephews, and very best friends Glenn and Kathy Duncan.
The passing of Rocky is mourned by all who knew and loved him but we know he leaves many Wonderful memories behind. But we all have the blessed hope in seeing him again one day after a while.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Sycamore Free Pentecostal Church of God. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm at the church with Pastor Jerry Tyree and Scottie Stanley officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of the Last Supper in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
