Kimberly Ann Varney

Our beautiful Kimberly Ann Treadway Varney, 44, of Prosperity took her final breath on January 18, 2023 following a short illness at Raleigh General Hospital. She was in the presence of her children and mother.

Kim was a 1996 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and a 1999 graduate of Valley College. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, who had a heart of gold, a million dollar smile and a contagious laugh.

She is preceded in death by paternal grandparents Thomas Snowden and Dorothy Lois Treadway; maternal grandparents, William Carl and Bernice Irene Bennett; uncles, Steve Treadway, Thomas Treadway, and William (Bill) Bennett; aunts, Nancy Treadway, Ruth Treadway, and Carol Bennett.

Her parents, Tim and Carolyn Treadway of Prosperity, survive Kim. Her loving children, Madison (Lindsay), Mackenzie and Tyler of Beckley. Her sister Susan Johnson (Joe) of Gulf Shores, AL. Her niece Alexis Johnson of Foley, AL and her nephew Sergeant Zachary Johnson of Dahu, HI. An Aunt Dorothy Shrewsbury (Jack) of VA; and several cousins.

Funeral Service will be held at Blue Ridge Funeral Home on Sunday, January 22, 2022 at 1:00 pm with Jeff Bennett officiating. Friends may gather with the family from 12:00 – 1:00 pm.

Robbie Bennett, Joe Johnson, Tyler Varney, Matthew Treadway, Jeff Treadway, and Mason Varney will serve as pallbearers.

Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
