Juanita June Persinger Ransom

Juanita was a 1964 graduate of Trap Hill High School. Before becoming a full-time mom and homemaker she was employed by Raleigh County tax department. She enjoyed writing in her journals, loved to shop for birthday and Christmas presents for her family, doing for others but most of all spending time with her family. She was a member of Eccles Church of God before the church was destroyed by a storm in the year 2000.

She was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Ruby Persinger.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Lee Ransom; two daughters Sherri Ransom Salinas and husband Joseph of Linwood, NC; Stacey Ransom Reamy and husband Monroe of Lexington, NC; a son Roger Lee Ransom II of Eccles; three grandsons Jackson Salinas (Tori Grooms) , Michael Ransom (Crystal Wilson), Tyler Reamy (Hannah Benton) of NC and one granddaughter Rachel Salinas of SC; one great-grandson Kason Salinas of NC; one brother Fred Persinger (Janet), two sisters Violet Nunn (Tim), Joyce Welch (Charles) all of WV. She also leaves behind an aunt, several cousins, nieces, nephews, long-time friends and several beloved Ransom family-in-laws.

Juanita always believed in treating others the way you want to be treated, putting others first and herself last. She would always give the advice to her children nothing last forever; we always get through the hard times in life, we may not like the way it turns out, but we need to remember God is in control! She was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Home with Pastor Dewey Lowe officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. prior to the service at Blue Ridge Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum 5, Chapel of Grace of Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Beckley, WV.

Greg Davis, Steve Davis, Steve Niday, Tim Nunn II, Fred Persinger, II and James Ransom will serve as pallbearers. Shawn Persinger will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
