Jean Taylor

Jean Taylor, age 84, of Franklinton, NC, a lifelong resident of Beckley, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at the Hillside Nursing and Rehab in Wake Forest, NC. Born April 12, 1933 in Affinity, WV, she was the daughter of the late Steve and Edra Harrison. Jean was a graduate of Sophia High School and spent her life as a homemaker and a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, Mason, and her brother John from Huntington. Survivors include her son Allen and his wife Sharon, another son Kevin and his wife Pam, all who live in Beckley, as well as a daughter, Lisa and her husband Darrell who reside in Franklinton, NC. Also, a sister Janice and brother Larry who live in Newark, DE, and a brother Gary who lives in Kegley, WV. In addition, she was blessed with four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A brief memorial service for family and close friends will be held on Friday, November 24, 2017 at Blue Ridge in Beckley.
