Mr. Tate worked for Fisher Auto Parts for 23 plus years and thoroughly enjoyed his job and co-workers. He also enjoyed spending time with his brothers, family and friends. James enjoyed tinkering around with his truck in his spare time and was also a veteran of the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents James and Gloria Lawrence Tate, and two brothers; Timothy and David Tate.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his brothers; John (Angela) Tate, Joseph (Angie) Tate, Terry Tate, Michael Tate, two sisters; Sandy (Forest) Haney and Rebecca Tate, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, family and friends who will miss him dearly.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 1 PM at Blue Ridge Funeral Home-5251 Robert C. Byrd Dr. Beckley, WV 25801. Visitation will be held two hours prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
