James Dale Blevins

James Dale Blevins, 77 of MacArthur, WV passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022 at the Beckley VA Medical Center. He was born on October 13, 1945 in Tams, WV to the late James G. Blevins and Lillian McClure Blevins.

James was a hard worker and provider for his family. After serving in the US Army, he worked 17 years at Massey Energy as a Fire Boss prior to his retirement. He enjoyed shooting guns, fishing, and most of all spending time with his grandchildren, great grandson, and family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Sandra Kay Blevins.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Jerri Davis and Barbara Whitehair; brother, Johnny; sisters, Bobbie Jo and Faith; grandchildren, Jimmy, Brandon, Jennifer, Lauren, and Morgan; and great grandson, Brayden.

The family would like to thank the Nursing and Care Staff on 3B at the Beckley VA Medical Center for all of the care and compassion they have shown.

Funeral service will be held at Blue Ridge Funeral Home on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Brad Williams officiating. Friends may gather with the family from 1:00 to 2:00 pm.
