Harold “Little Dale” Woody II, 54, of Mocksville, NC passed away suddenly due to a car accident near King, NC on the afternoon November 21. Little Dale will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Harold and Barbara Woody of Lexington, NC, his sisters Donna Everhart of Lexington, NC and Shauna Woody of Chapel Hill, NC, and his children Harold Woody III of Pittsburgh, PA and Hannah Woody of High Point, NC. After retiring from working for Pepsi Cola Distribution, Dale kept busy with online sales, becoming an Ebay Power Seller. He was passionate about football, especially the Washington Redskins. Raising Schnauzers was one of his favorite ways to spend time. He also loved Ozzy Osbourne so much so that he named his first Schnauzer Ozzy, then there was Ozzy II, and currently Ozzy III. He was a man of few words unless he was real comfortable around you or if he was talking about his dogs. In the end, his last words were spent wanting his family to know that he loved them.
His brother, Lonnie Woody, 47, also of Mocksville, NC passed away due to the same car accident. He was the beloved son of Harold and Barbara Woody of Lexington, NC, a loyal brother to Donna Everhart of Lexington, NC and Shauna Woody of Chapel Hill, NC. Lonnie was preceded in death by his son Lonnie Daniel Ryan Woody. He was loved by his family and friends. Lonnie worked in a steel manufacturing plant. He loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and spending time with family. His favorite destination was the Outer Banks of North Carolina, but a close second was coming home to West Virginia. He was always sharing his sense of humor and making people laugh. Dale and Lonnie went on many adventures together and were great friends.
A Funeral Service for Dale and a Memorial Service for Lonnie celebrating their lives will be held in the Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Home on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 12:00 pm. The family will receive friends one hour prior beginning at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Home.
