Harold Dwane Scarbro

Harold Dwane Scarbro 73 of Beckley passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015. Born August 9, 1942, he was the son of the late, Beverage and Maggie Stover Scarbro Runion. Harold enjoyed hunting, dirt track racing, NASCAR, being outdoors and spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his parents, Harold is preceded in death by his brother, Floyd Scarbro. Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Sharon Ward of Beaver; son, Harold Dwane Scarbro, Jr. and wife, Lynda of Beckley; brothers, Woody Scarbro of Clear Creek, Jackie Scarbro of Clear Creek, Denver Scarbro of Artie, Ricky Scarbro of Artie; sisters, Alice Collins of Beckley, Julie Hoke of Beckley, Rachel McKnight of Beckley, Patty Tyree of Beckley, Juanita “Booky” Graley, Elsie Jones, and Libby Toney all of Clear Creek; grandchildren, Miranda Toney, Emily Scarbro, Michael Scarbro, Chad Todd, Sarah Ward, and a lot of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the Ewing Creek Church with Rev. Jerry Tyree and Evangelist Beckley Maynor. Burial will follow at Ewing Creek Cemetery. Friends may gather with the family Saturday from 12 – 2 at the church. The family would like to thank Angie Williams and Pine Lodge Nursing staff for their care and concern.
