Our thoughts and prayers to your family! Praying God gives you comfort and peace. My wife and I are so fortunate to have crossed paths with such a wonderful man and his family. Many hours spent with Coach Goddard, Mr. Goddard and his family on the baseball field at IHS!!! Mr. Goddard was truly a “Patriot”. My wife grew up in Sophia and would get a big hug, kiss on the cheek, and piece of candy from the Candy Man!! He was such a kind hearted, positive soul that always had a smile. We know he is smiling from HEAVEN!!

Blueie was the epitome of a "good guy".  Spending time at the Goddards was a very special part of my childhood, and I send my sincere condolences to you all.  Mr. & Mrs. Goddard were wonderful to me and my family and I will always smile when I think of them.  

The sweetest man I ever met.  Always had a hug and kiss ready for me every time I saw him. You will be sadly missed but I will always cherish the sweetest memories of you in my heart. ♥️

I always got a kiss from my buddies Everytime I saw him at the post office. I have missed his smiling face he was ALWAYS so HAPPY. Prayers for comfort for the family

The entire Goddard family were permanent fixtures at Sophia Little League, Senior Little League and Sophia High School sporting events.  Mr. Goddard was a fine man and Mrs. Goddard was such a sweet lady.  They are once again reunited and resting comfortably in our saviors arms.  Rest well my friend and thank you for your many years of supporting our youth.

My family and I met Mr. Goddard at the WV Miners baseball field when we hosted players during 2012, 2013 and 2014  seasons.   The highlight of each game for my daughter (Olivia) was seeing "Mr. Harold", receiving a hug and a bag of candy, which she so dearly called "Harold Candy" and she still calls peppermint candy Harold Candy to this day.  He also gave candy and hugs to her friend, Aniston.   He was wonderful and always smiling.  His kindness and thoughtfulness meant so much.

He was one of the sweetest most loving people. I have many great memories of him. I will missing seeing him at the post office, waving at him from his window and visiting him with my boys every Halloween. He gave the best hugs and was wonderful man. I feel blessed to have know him and Thelma. Love and Prayers for you all.

Uncle Blueie was the greatest uncle a person could have. I remember Blueie from the time I was a young girl and all through the years. He was by far the happiest and most good natured person I ever knew in addition to his twin 
“Blackie” who was my dad. They really were so much alike. We will all miss
Blueie and his wonderful good nature and all the kindness he showed everyone over the years!!

My favorite uncle, my favorite memory is we were in Tennesse eating lunch.  Bob looked up and saw Uncle Bluey.  Uncle Bluey asked us to their room to see Aunt Tea.  We stayed outside and he took three year old Stephanie into the room.  When Aunt Tea saw the child she got hysterical and kept saying he finally did it.  He wants a grandchild so much he finally did it.  While she was crying the other lady in the room said, "Tea, why does that child look like Paula?"  Aunt Tea turned to Uncle Bluey and asked,"Bluey, how did you get Stephanie?"  When we would get together Uncle Bluey and Aunt Tea loved to reminisce about the memory.     
                                                                       
  Uncle Bluey wouldn't eat the white of a fried egg, Stephanie doesn't eat the yellow.  Aunt Tea loved when we visited she enjoyed having Stephanie share Uncle Bluey's eggs.     
                                                              
  I loved these two special people so much.  They always treated me as family, never as someone who married into the family.  Heaven got a wonderful loving Angel.  He will be missed.

Blueie used to send me money my freshman year in college when I was at Miami of Ohio University. I remember it being my only source of money that entire first year. His generosity was incredible. When I transferred to Malone University I remember we played BlueField State. Blueie came to the game and every time out I looked up and he was standing up waving to me. He reminded me so much of Papa: so sweet and kind. I didn’t get to spend a ton of time with him, but every time I saw him he acted as if I was one of his own grandchildren and was SO excited to see me. He will be missed.
