Hallie Atha Peters

Hallie Atha Peters, 90, of Beckley, passed away, Thursday, January 07, 2016 following a short illness. Born December 8, 1925 in Raleigh County, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late French Atha and Louise Williams Atha. Hallie was a member of Mattville Community Church. She enjoyed gardening, being outdoors, going to church, listening to gospel music and being with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paris Peters; daughter, Hilda Peters; brothers, Tom, Walter and Dallas Atha; sisters, Lessie Price and Bessie Stover. Those left to cherish Hallie’s memory are five sons, six daughters; and sister, Betty Burgess of Lower Sandlick Rd, Beckley, West Virginia. Friends may gather with the family at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Saturday, January 9, 2016 from 12-1pm. Services will be held at the funeral home, Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 1 pm with Pastor Scott Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
