

Gregory was the firstborn son of Harold D. and Katherine J. Plumley. Being born on February 18, 1969 in Trenton, Michigan.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Joe Plumley, Jr.; his maternal grandparents, Esau P. and Lilly Augusta Cook and a step son Allen Ray Blankenship.
Surviving are his dear wife, Alice Plumley; his loving parents, Harold and Katherine Plumley; his loving brother, Christopher Dean Plumley; his paternal grandmother, Gladys Lorene Plumley; his special niece, Ciara E. Plumley; stepchildren, Robert Blankenship, Brian Blankenship, Alice “Tiny” James and husband, Ernie; two special step-granddaughters, Salena Collier and Alyssa James; a special step-grandson, Jason James all whom he loved very much. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved him dearly.
Gregory was a very loving husband, brother, son and friend. He was a very protective man. When you were with him you didn’t have to worry about anyone messing with you. He worked as a tractor mechanic before being disabled. He loved four wheel riding with his friends and collecting exotic pets.
He enjoyed making people in his life happy. He was a self professed mama’s boy and would happily tell anyone. Family and friends were very important to him and they knew it. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Gregory was of the Christian faith.
In keeping with his wishes, Gregory will be cremated.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM Friday, July 11, 2014 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley with Rev. Richard Wagoner officiating.
Friends may gather with the family Friday from 5 – 6 PM at the funeral home.
