Mrs. Georgia Hensley

Georgia enjoyed reading, spending time with her family and friends and liked to take trips with her husband. Georgia was a beautician for over 40 years. She was of the Baptist Faith and was the last surviving sibling of 15.

In addition to her parents, Georgia is preceded in death by her step-father, Richard Elmer Walker; son in law Chester (Butch) Dobbins; sisters, Doris Walker, Betha Proffitt, Josephine Glenn, Bonnie Jo Martin, Katie Gill, Carol McKinney, Geneva Ware; brothers, Frank (Dawson) Garrison, Joseph Glenn, Fermine Walker, Jesse Walker, Willis (Happy) Walker, O.D. Walker and Richard Walker.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 49 years, Hampton Hensley, her daughter, Rhonda Dobbins of Shady Spring, West Virginia; sons, Roger Baldwin of Alameda, California, Kevin Baldwin of Volga, West Virginia; daughter, Cindy Franzen of Glen Allen, VA; grandson, Aaron Baldwin of Volga, West Virginia.

Services will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday August 21, 2024 at Calloway Heights Baptist Church with Pastor Ken Kirby officiating. Entombment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.

Friends may gather with the family Wednesday from 1 – 2 PM at the church.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Mike McKinney, caregivers, Tara Ramey and Mary McKinney and Hospice of Southern West Virginia. Memorials in Georgia’s name may be made to Hospice of Southern West Virginia.
