Gary Wayne Asbury

ASBURY, Gary Wayne, age 57, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2015. He was born on January 29, 1958, in Beckley, the son of the late William and Donna Asbury. Gary was a member of Breckenridge Baptist Church and had worked many years with Alpha Natural Resources as a Mine Foreman. He was a devoted family man and had the greatest joy spending time with his grand babies. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Donna Lawson Asbury and his siblings, Charles Asbury & Bonnie Meador. Those left to cherish his memory are his devoted children, Adam Asbury and wife, Mary & Erica Stover and husband, Anthony; his loving grandchildren, Alex, Aleigha, Lacy, Jayleigh, Laiton, Danica, Ryder, Lilliana and Willow; his siblings, Roger Asbury, Jackie Asbury, Lawanda “Bunny” Cooper, Carolyn “Goober” Lilly and Phyllis Gross; many loving nieces and nephews; and his parents-in-law, Bob and Mary Lawson. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at 2pm at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, 5251 Robert C. Byrd Dr., Beckley, with Pastor Dewey Lowe officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral services from 12pm-2pm at the funeral home on Tuesday.
