She is preceded in death by her mother, Maxine Clark, her father, Clinton Clark, and her sister Betty Cook.
She is survived by her 2 daughters, Lori Anne Brown (Ricky) of Beckley, and Brandi Seabolt (Dale) of Daniels; grandchildren, whom she loved very much, Daryan (Travis) Thompson, Blase Payne, and Steele Payne, & Michael (Katie), Austin, Anna, Aden, and Brody Seabolt, & Brooklyn Brown and Mason Brown, and a great grandchild, Charlotte Compton; a special niece, Rae Jill Cook, and a bonus daughter, Rebecca Dare Blaine. Other survivors include her sisters, Linda Morgan and Brenda Caudell (Richard), and her brother, Billy Clark (Patty), as well nieces Belinda (Joe), Elizabeth (Nick), and Kimberly.
Marlene attended Concord College (University) and received a Bachelor of Science in Travel Industry Management. She last worked for the Department of Health and Human Resources as a Family Support Specialist. She loved her job and her coworkers. Marlene also loved to read and tell her famous jokes.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, February 26th, 2024 at 12PM, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. The family will receive visitors one hour prior.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Sally and Tracy from Dr. Saikali’s office and to the Hospice nurses; your care and kindness will always be remembered.
