Evelyn Yvonne Kincaid

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Robert David Kincaid; brother-in-law and wife, Otto and Patricia Kincaid; her lifelong friend, Drema Dunbar; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, James “Jim” Knapp and mother, Flossie Stover Knapp; and her brother, Charles Knapp. She enjoyed the company of her cats, LeeAnne and Sylvester, and her dog, Spot who will miss her dearly.

She retired from Raleigh General Hospital after 24 years in the accounting department. She was a lifelong member of Workman’s Creek United Methodist Church. She maintained a beautiful home and loved the outdoors. She especially enjoyed spending time in the garden with her husband.

Evelyn received loving care and attention from her husband, David, Felicia Williams, and Tammy Long at the end of her life. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Bowers Hospice House for the care Evelyn received during her time there.

The family will receive friend from 12:30-2:00 pm, Monday, December 31, 2018 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Home. Burial will in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
