Emma Jean Goodson

Emma Jean Goodson, 72, of Midway, was called home by God on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at her home. She was born October 3, 1944 in Crab Orchard, WV, she was the daughter of the late Bill and Hodie Hunt. She was a member of the Lester Baptist Church. She was also a 26 year employee of Heartland which she loved going to work. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband; Thomas Goodson and her youngest son; Douglas Goodson. Those left to cherish her memory include her Children; Kimberly Yow and husband Kenneth of Statesville, NC, Thomas D. Goodson Jr. of Midway, WV, Robert E. Goodson of Midway, WV, Pamela K. Toler of Sophia, WV, six grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Donna McGehee Bailey of Beckley, WV and Sue Stewart and husband Gene of Crab Orchard, WV. Her family would like to thank Hospice of Southern WV for their help and care. Services will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may gather with the family Thursday from 12-1 PM at the funeral home.
