Elza Alvin Reed II

Alvin was a Christian, loved dirt track racing, his corvette, dog Tawny, and above all his family with a special place in his heart for his grandchildren. He was a protector of his family, fun-loving, a jokester, a great cook, and was known as the life of the party to those who knew him.

He served in the Army and Navy reserves, a mayor in his community, and wore many hats throughout his career.

He will be reunited with his parents, sister; Stephanie Reed, and brother Albert Reed.

Those will are left to cherish his memories include his loving wife, Kimberly Reed, son, Sean Reed, daughter Morning Starr Reed, siblings; Kathy and Dewayne Whitt, Lynn and Alvin Peters, Jody and Tammy Reed, Valerie and Donnie Simmons, Stephanie and Christopher Sizemore, and Amanda and Scotty Hawkins, grandchildren Remington, Easton, Harlee Walker, many nieces, nephews and friends.

His services will be held on Monday, June 12, 2023 at 7 PM, at Blue Ridge Funeral Home with Pastor Brian White officiating. The family will begin receiving visitors at 5 PM. In honor of his wishes Alvin will be cremated following the services.
