Elva Irlett Taylor

Elva enjoyed quilting, sewing, collecting jewelry, especially pins. She enjoyed travelling and making memories with her family, even going to Disney World at 85 and loved Dollywood. She attended Midway Church of God and was a devout Christian.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ray Taylor, sons, David Taylor and Jerry Taylor, and brothers, Jesse and Clayton Terry.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Terry Taylor and his wife Debbie of Midway; Grandchildren, David Taylor and wife Roxanne of Middlesex, NC; Scotty Taylor and wife Danette of Beckley, WV; Jerry Wayne Taylor and his wife, Celeste of Greensboro, TN; Mark Taylor of Maryland; Michelle Dunn and husband, Daniel of Beckley, WV; Julie Taylor of Midway, WV, Sister, Laura Reed of Columbia, SC, and many great grandchildren.

A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023 at 2 PM with Pastor Rick Walker officiating. The family will begin receiving visitors at 1 PM until the time of the service. Elva will be laid to rest following the services at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Blue Ridge Funeral Home 5251 Robert C. Byrd Drive of Beckley, WV is honored to be serving the Taylor family.
