Elva was a devout Christian who loved reading, cooking, canning, and other crafts such as painting rocks and sewing.
Elva will be reunited with her husband; John W.B. Harvey, 3 brothers; Buel Thompson, Fred Underwood, and Cecil Underwood, and 2 daughter-in-laws; Maxann Harvey and Mary Harvey.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Arthur and Barbara Harvey, William and Donna Harvey, and Joseph Harvey, daughter, Ruth and Lonnie Bowe, grandsons; Lonnie Bowe IV, Jeremy Harvey, Joseph Bailey, granddaughters; Sarah Harvey, Amanda Davis, Tabitha Walters, and Kimberly Hanks, and 12 great grandkids.
Her services will be on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 1 PM at Blue Ridge Funeral Home. The family will begin receiving visitors at 12 PM until the time of the service. She will be laid to rest following the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
