Mrs. Drema S Martin

Born on September 7th, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Hurbert and Inez Myers.

Drema enjoyed playing on her phone, especially sending TIK-TOK’s and Facebook videos. She liked talking to her daughter and sister’s on the phone, watching and feeding the squirrels, watching the hummingbirds, and loved spending time with her family and friends.

Drema worked for many years in the retail and service industry. She said her most important job was being a mother and a wife. She was loved by many and never met a stranger. She always put others before herself, and was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Drema always had a smile on her face no matter what. Drema touched more lives than she ever knew

.

Drema had many people she thought of as her children. She would often say she had one biological daughter, but hundreds of children.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Mabel, Jerry, John, and Benny.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Mark Martin of Beckley; daughter, Melissa Sue Gill and son-in-law, Michael of Cool Ridge; sisters, Polly Boyd of Beckley, Geraldine Despasio of Stokesdale, NC, Thelma Quinn of Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life Drema will be held Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.

Friends may gather with the family Thursday from 1:00 PM until time of the service at the funeral home.
