Douglas Lee Stanley

Douglas Lee Stanley, of Coal City, passed away November 24, 2021.

Born March 19, 1951 in Coal City; he was a son of the late Jess W. Stanley and the late Juanita Fern Stanley.

Douglas loved his pets, and had worked for Westmorland Coal Company before going into Construction, he was a member of the UMWA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Angie Spence.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Margie Stanley of Coal City; son, Douglas "Neil" Stanley and wife, Lisa of Beckley and step-son, Christopher Elison and wife, Patrica of Coal City; three grandchildren, Timmy Totten, Brianna Elison, and Sabrina Totten all of Coal City; three sisters, Martha Elison and husband, Bobby of Coal City, Marilyn Pegram and husband, Randy of Coal City; Linda Elison and husband, Mike of Coal City; a brother Sandy Stanley and wife, Ruby of VA; extended family and friends.

There will be no formal services at this time and a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
