It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christine May DeHart, a loving wife, mother, great grandmother, sister and dedicated follower of the Lord. Christine's battle with a long term illness came to an end on February 19, 2024. She was 80 years old.
Christine's nurturing spirit and unwavering love will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Christine was a brilliant and established woman. A jeweler for Lilly's Crown Jewelry and delivery driver for the local Butcher Block. Her passion and understanding for the Lord showed in everything she did. She inspired everyone around her. Her love for genealogy and the history of her ancestors was a hobby she enjoyed sharing with everyone. Christine's family and friends remember her as a tireless worker and mentor to everyone her light shined on.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Chrissy was known for her warm and caring personality. She had a generous heart, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her kindness and compassion touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Christine was proceeded in death by her husband of 36 years, Robert DeHart, her daughters Cathy Wilson DeHart, Tammy DeHart, and Kathy Asbury, brothers Bill and Bob Vest, niece Karen Hockey, granddaughter Brenda Greene and family friend Grover Aliff.
Christine was survived by her sister Geneva Lucas, brother John and Linda Vest, daughters AiJay and Erica DeHart, Sharron and Steve Wheeler. Grandchildren Adrian and RayLeigh DeHart, Ariel and Alex Harper Poe, Anthony Scott, Amanda and Orville Workman, James and Desiree Wheeler, Miranda and Pat Kamenski. Great grandchildren Chelsea Harper, D'Anthony and Dominick Scott, Logan Hartsog and Lane Lilly, Christian and Mia Wheeler, Cody and Tammy Asbury, Shawn and Tiffany Hunter and many more cousins, nieces and nephews.
Chrissy's memory will be forever cherished by her family, friends, and fellow Christians. Her legacy as a mother, wife, grandmother and sister will endure and her spirit will continue to inspire us all. In our hearts, she lives on, and we will forever honor the legacy of a remarkable woman who made a lasting impact on the world.
